How cool is Hector the Gila monster?! (Pronounced 'heela') His colouration is an indicator that he is venomous, like a wearable warning sign. Many other animals have similar natural warnings in the form of bright colours such as the blue-ringed octopus, corroboree frog and lion fish. Hector is a pretty easy going guy though, despite being one of only two venomous lizard species in the whole world. Have you seen him at #AustraliaZoo ?
